Clark City Press is a publishing company in Livingston, Montana. Its founder, publisher, and editor, is Russell Chatham. Its commitment is to produce a small number of books which are of consistently excellent quality in writing, design, and production, the most important criteria being that each work bear its own clear vision, and be capable of translating that to the reader. In all aspects of its operation, the press intends to stand up to the declaration: quality and integrity without compromise.
Begun in 1988, during the following five years, it produced nearly thirty books, from poetry and mysteries to short stories, novellas and novels; from children's classics, biographies, and autobiographies to collections of photography, painting, sculpture and essays. In 1993 production ceased, and since that time the company has been dormant, other than selling its backlist titles to interested buyers.
Today, Clark City Press is back in operation, guided by a revolutionary publishing strategy which challenges traditional procedures, and which is not only aesthetically strong and interesting, but financially viable as well.
